7 Benefits of Choosing Invisalign®

Straightening your teeth does not have to disrupt your daily routine. Invisalign® uses a series of clear, custom-made aligners that move your teeth gradually into position.

You wear each set for one to two weeks before progressing to the next one. Below are seven reasons patients choose this approach, along with what the process asks of you.

Martin’s Review

“Dr. Reza Rahgozar is one of the best dentist I have ever visited. He’s highly experienced, and truly professional, providing dental care. The staffs at Pure Dental are also very compassionate and welcoming, making the entire experience comfortable and reassuring.”

1. A Discreet Appearance

The aligners fit closely over your teeth and use a thin plastic that reflects very little light. Most people you speak with during the day will never notice that you are wearing them.

This discreet appearance can appeal to adults in client-facing roles and teenagers who want a less noticeable orthodontic option.

2. A Comfortable Fit Against Your Cheeks and Gums

Your dentist takes a digital scan and orders aligners shaped to the exact contours of each tooth. No metal brackets or wires sit against the inside of your cheeks or the edge of your gums. Your dentist may bond small tooth-colored attachments to a few teeth to guide particular movements.

These attachments are barely visible from a conversational distance, and they come off when treatment ends. Expect mild tightness for a day or two after you switch to a new set.

3. Removable Aligners at Mealtimes

You take the aligners out before you eat or drink anything other than water. Popcorn, crusty bread, and corn on the cob all remain available to you throughout treatment.

Rinse each set before you replace it so that food particles do not sit against your enamel.

4. Easier Oral Hygiene

Brushing thoroughly around brackets and wires is genuinely difficult for most patients wearing fixed braces. Some finish that treatment with white decalcification marks left behind on the enamel.

Because you remove your aligners, you brush and floss exactly as you did before orthodontic care began. That access makes plaque control realistic from your first set of trays through to your last.

5. Suitable for a Range of Orthodontic Concerns

Invisalign® corrects mild to moderate crowding, gaps between teeth, and bite problems such as overbite and crossbite. Your dentist will take X-rays and a digital scan before recommending any particular course of action.

Severe rotations, significant jaw discrepancies, and complex cases often respond better to fixed braces. A candid assessment at this stage protects both your budget and your time.

6. Shorter and Less Frequent Appointments

You usually receive several sets of aligners at once and work through them at home. Most patients return every six to eight weeks rather than every four.

The visits themselves stay brief because no wires need adjusting or replacing. Appointments that are fewer and shorter work better with work, school, and family commitments.

7. A Plan Mapped Out Before You Begin

Your dentist builds a three-dimensional model of your teeth and plans each stage of movement from it. You will see a simulation of the projected result before you commit to a single tray.

At every appointment, your dentist compares your actual progress against that original projection. Teeth do not always track as expected, and additional refinement aligners form a normal part of many cases.

What Treatment Asks of You

Most cases run twelve to eighteen months, though minor corrections sometimes finish considerably sooner. Aligners only work while they are in your mouth, so plan on twenty to twenty-two hours daily.

You will also wear a retainer once active treatment ends to hold your teeth in place. Retention applies to every orthodontic method and is not a limitation specific to clear aligners.
